Junior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine

Overview

The post holder will join a busy department with staff including 16 consultants, 5 ST4 (SpR), 2 ACCS (ST1), 1 GPVTS, 13 FY2 trainees, 22 Junior Clinical Fellows and 19 Specialty Doctors. The appointee will gain a wide variety of clinical exposure in general medical, surgical and other specialty presentations.

The department has a strong commitment to high standards of patient care and an established reputation in postgraduate training and clinical research.

The directorate is supportive towards professional development of doctors. We are keen to support non-trainee doctors to progress their Emergency Medicine careers by offering quality training opportunities and exam preparation. We endeavour to do this with the development of internal training programmes including inter-specialty rotations. This will ensure doctors gain the skills and competencies required to advance in the Emergency Medicine field.

• Some post-qualification experience
• Experience in Emergency Medicine at Junior Clinical Fellow level desirable but not essential
• Completed FY2 competencies desirable
