Trust Fellows (ST1/2 Equivalent) in Specialist Neonatal and Paediatric Surgery
Fixed Term contract commencing as soon as possible – ending August 2026.
GOSH offers these ST1/2 equivalent Fellow posts to those with NHS experience who wish to gain specialist paediatric surgical experience without committing to full training. Fellows will work in a well‑supported environment, with a formal Level 1 teaching programme in partnership with the London School of Paediatrics.
The role primarily involves Specialist Neonatal & Paediatric Surgery but also covers Paediatric Urology, Paediatric ENT, Paediatric Plastic Surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedics. Post holders are expected to cross‑cover other specialities as required.
Responsibilities include admission and ward management of elective cases, preparation for theatre, post‑operative care, support in theatre during operation lists, and training as appropriate. Fellows will attend outpatient clinics and receive supervision from surgical and general paediatric consultants for complex inpatient care. The Trust has no A&E department but does receive regular emergency admissions.
Successful candidates will be educationally supervised, given opportunities to complete research projects, and can attend postgraduate courses within and outside the Trust.
