About the Role

A welcoming Tower Hamlets primary school near Whitechapel Station is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with social communication needs. The role begins in January, with the option to trial ahead of the start date.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCO to deliver structured one-to-one support, help the pupil regulate during busier parts of the day, and adapt tasks so they remain fully included in class learning. You will also run short targeted literacy activities and support transitions around the school.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:

Has experience working with SEN, ideally ASD or speech & language needs

Brings patience, consistency, and strong communication skills

Can follow EHCP strategies and behaviour plans confidently

Is able to build trust and set calm, predictable routines

Works well with class teachers and the wider SEND team

Graduates in Psychology, Education, Speech & Language, Social Sciences are welcomed, but school-based SEN experience is also highly valued.
