SEN Teaching Assistant

Overview

A welcoming primary school in Camden is looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with SEN or youth work experience who is committed to making a real difference.

• Support children with SEMH in a small provision and in the mainstream classroom
• Help pupils develop strategies for emotional regulation, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
• Provide consistent, nurturing support to remove barriers to learning
• Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral teams

• Previous experience with SEMH, behaviour, or vulnerable young people
• Calm, patient, and resilient with a positive approach
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Passionate about inclusive education and supporting every child

• Supportive leadership and SEN team
• Ongoing CPD and training in SEMH strategies
• A collaborative school community with excellent resources
