Cover Supervisor

Location: Southwark

Strategy Education is working alongside fantastic secondary schools within South London who require cover supervisors to begin ASAP.
The schools are looking for flexible/day to day staff. This gives you the opportunity to full fill you passion for education, whilst working around other commitments you may have.
There is also a potential vacancy for a full time cover supervisor to begin in September. This position will be running on a long term basis with the potential for perm at the end of the academic year.
The main role of a cover supervisor is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set by an absent teacher.
Cover supervisor roles offer a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain teaching and classroom experience before completing a PGCE.

Experience with tutoring is also recognised.
You will need to demonstrate that you have:
 
* experience of working with secondary aged children
 
* the ability to build good relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers
 
* knowledge of the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4
 
* good reading, writing and numeracy skills
