Overview
The Career Cluster of Health, Wellbeing & Care has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Lecturer within Health and Social Care. The role will involve tutoring and course management of a Level 1, 2, or 3 vocational programme as well as teaching across all programmes.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the effective delivery of the Social Care study programmes across various levels, providing academic leadership for students.
- Create a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and coherent and in line with local and national priorities.
- Develop and maintain up‑to‑date industry knowledge, bringing in industry professionals where possible.
- Support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspirations and goals, and coordinate the tracking of learners’ achievements.
- Lead study programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention and progression.
- Show sound organisational skills and work cooperatively to contribute positively and creatively to a team.
- Current teaching experience and familiarity with the current CACHE curriculum.
- Broad range of disciplines in practice and theory is encouraged.
- Industry experience is welcomed.
- Willingness to work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) or Level 5 upon appointment.
