About the Role

A large, inclusive Lambeth primary school, within easy reach of Tulse Hill Station, is seeking a committed Primary Teacher to join their KS1 team from April. This is a Year 1 class within a well-established three-form entry setting, offering excellent peer support and shared planning.

As the Primary Teacher, you will deliver a structured yet creative curriculum that builds on EYFS foundations, supporting pupils with early phonics, number sense, and independent learning skills. The class benefits from consistent routines, strong parental engagement, and additional classroom support during core subjects.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:

Has recent experience in KS1, particularly Year 1

Is confident delivering systematic phonics and early reading

Creates a calm, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment

Uses assessment to adapt teaching and support different learning needs

Works collaboratively within a large year group team

Holds QTS and an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to apply)
