Are you an experienced Motor Vehicle Engineer with a passion for developing the next generation of industry professionals? A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Motor Vehicle Engineering Lecturer to join an established FE team delivering accredited qualifications from Entry Level to Level 3 for both 14‑19‑year‑olds and adult learners.

In this role, you'll deliver high‑quality teaching, assessment and support across a range of motor vehicle courses both on campus and at employer premises while helping shape curriculum development to meet industry and awarding‑body standards. You'll work closely with employers, colleagues and learners to provide an exceptional learning experience that drives progression and real‑world readiness.

What You'll Do:
  • Teach and assess accredited Motor Vehicle Engineering qualifications, ensuring high standards of delivery and learner achievement.
  • Develop flexible, engaging training programmes that build strong vocational skills and align with awarding‑body and Ofqual requirements.
  • Act as the link between the college, employers and awarding bodies, ensuring compliance, quality assurance and strong professional partnerships.
  • Support learners through diagnostic assessments, individual learning plans, regular feedback and progress reviews.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, course reviews, quality assurance processes and the wider work of the department.
What We're Looking For:
  • A relevant teaching qualification (PTTLS, DTLLS, PGCE) or willingness to work towards one.
  • A1 Assessor Award (V1 desirable).
  • Qualified Motor Vehicle Engineer with strong industry experience.
  • Experience designing schemes of work, assessment plans and embedding e‑learning (desirable).
  • Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and creating an inclusive learning environment.

If you're passionate about motor vehicle education and ready to make a meaningful impact in the sector, we'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV to apply.
