SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist ASD Provision - Barnet
Full Time Term Time Only ASAP Start
Up to 110 per day Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)

Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist provision in Barnet, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with an SEN background who is confident working 1:1 with a student on a daily basis. The provision is particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong interest in technology, sports or the arts, as these interests are used to engage and motivate learners.

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for a student with ASD
• Support learning, communication and emotional regulation
• Use interests such as tech, sports or the arts to promote engagement
• Implement strategies linked to EHCPs and individual support plans
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and therapists
• Promote independence, confidence and inclusion

• Experience working in an SEN or specialist provision
• Strong understanding of ASD and associated needs
• A calm, patient and consistent approach
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
• Interest or background in technology, sport or the arts
• Understanding of safeguarding and SEN best practice

• Weekly pay - up to 110 per day
