Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools
Location:
Westminster, Central London (& Neighbouring Boroughs)
Start Date:

Full-Time / Long-Term
Pay: £90–£105 per day (depending on experience)
We are looking for motivated graduates who are keen to gain valuable experience working in primary schools across London. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in education, or who wants to develop transferable skills working with children in a supportive school environment.
Graduate Teaching Assistants will support classroom learning, deliver targeted interventions, and work closely with teachers to ensure pupils achieve their potential. This may include academic booster sessions, literacy and numeracy support, 1:1 SEN assistance, or helping with behaviour mentoring and pastoral support, depending on the skills and interests of the graduate.
The Role:
* Support classroom teaching and learning across EYFS to KS2
* Deliver small group or 1:1 interventions in literacy, numeracy, or other curriculum areas
* Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN or social-emotional challenges
* Assist teachers in preparing lessons, resources, and classroom activities
* Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
* Gain hands-on experience in a school environment, including observing teaching strategies and contributing to pupil development
The Ideal Candidate :
* A graduate from any discipline with a genuine interest in working with children
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn about teaching and school life
* Patient, adaptable, and confident interacting with pupils of varying abilities and needs
* Open to long-term supply work and potential permanent school opportunities
* Interest in pursuing a career in education, youth work, psychology, or other people-focused fields is a bonus, but not essential
