Overview
Teaching Assistant Level 3 - Full-time Position. Immediate Start Available.
Location:
Merton, South West London
Salary: 100-110 per day, dependent on experience
- Support pupils individually or in small groups to access the curriculum and achieve learning objectives.
- Promote independence, self-esteem, and positive social interactions for all pupils.
- Assist teachers in creating and maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with SEN or other additional needs, including ASC, as required.
- Prepare classrooms and resources, and support lesson delivery to enhance engagement.
- Observe and record pupil progress and share feedback with the class teacher.
- Support pupils during assessment or examination sessions where needed.
- Accompany pupils on educational visits and support participation in extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure effective support for pupils.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour management, and child protection.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting pupils in a classroom setting, ideally including pupils with additional needs.
- Strong understanding of strategies to support learning, social development, and inclusion.
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to helping pupils achieve their potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, teachers, parents, and colleagues.
- Professional, reliable, and committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
