The Role

Education World are working with a welcoming primary school in Brent seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils access the curriculum and develop confidence both academically and socially.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and ensure each pupil receives the support they need to thrive in the classroom environment.

What We’re Looking For

* Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

* Knowledge of supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs

* Ability to build positive and nurturing relationships with pupils

* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning support

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

* A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

Key Responsibilities

* Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN

* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)

* Support pupils with emotional regulation and social interaction

* Encourage engagement and participation in learning activities

* Work collaboratively with teachers and external professionals

* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour
