Think FE are working in partnership with a large, forward-thinking and well‑established further education college in East London, recognised for its strong employer links, modern construction facilities and commitment to student success.
Due to continued growth within the Construction and Engineering provision, the college is seeking a skilled and motivated Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpentry lecturer who is passionate about developing the next generation of tradespeople.
The RoleYou will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning across C&J qualifications, supporting students to develop both practical skills and theoretical knowledge. Working within well‑equipped workshops and industry‑standard facilities, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Level 1 3 Carpentry programmes
- Support and motivate learners to achieve and progress
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively within a supportive construction team
- Level 5 teaching qualification (Level 3 minimum)
- Recognised C&J trade qualification level 3 or above
- Industry experience within Carpentry and Joinery
- Passion for education and developing learners
- Strong organisational and communication skills
