EYFS Nursery Teacher – Join this outstanding private nursery school in central London
Do you have QTS or a Level 6 Early Years qualification? Looking for a work life balance by working for 8 am until 1.30pm each day?
This independent nursery in central London is seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Specialist Teacher to join their dedicated team from September 2026. This is a part-time, term-time only maternity cover role for 1 year. There is potential for a permanent job offer from September 2027.

About the Role

• Teach two separate morning Nursery classes (ages 3–5) under the EYFS curriculum

• Inspire young learners at the very start of their educational journey.

• Create fun, interactive, and engaging lessons that spark curiosity and confidence

• Work as a team with the Head Teacher and Nursery Nurse of both classes.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
What we are looking for

• PGCE / QTS or a level 6 early years qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (preferably in Early Years or Reception).

• Calm, creative teaching style with strong classroom management.

• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

• Great understanding and experinec of teachng phonics.

• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Key Details

•

Hours:

8:00 AM – 1:30 PM, term-time only (occasional evening events).

• Salary: £32,000- £36000 pro rata (based on qualifications and experience).

•

Contract:

Fixed Term ( Sept 2026-July 2027), with potential to extend fulltime into September 2027.

• Class Size:
Small, focused groups for optimal learning.

• Excellent work life balance- the nursery is open for 36 weeks a year instead of 39 weeks a year.
