About the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced and driven Curriculum Team Leader - Motor Vehicle to lead and develop their teaching and learning provision to an industry‑leading standard. This is a key leadership role combining hands‑on teaching (up to 24 hours per week) with strategic and operational responsibility for curriculum delivery, staff development, learner progress and compliance. As the Curriculum Team Leader - Motor Vehicle you will be the nominated Lead Instructor, ensuring excellence across apprenticeships, trainee ships and commercial programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the Motor Vehicle Teaching Department
- Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning across all relevant subjects
- Manage learner progress, achievement, retention and gateway to End Point Assessment
- Oversee End Point Assessment preparation and delivery
- Ensure compliance with OFSTED, Awarding Bodies, DWP, IMI and City & Guilds
- Develop innovative, flexible and blended learning approaches, including the Virtual Academy
- Line manage, mentor and develop teaching staff, ensuring qualifications and CPD are maintained
- Produce accurate reports on learner performance, staff development and capacity planning
- Support business development and employer engagement activity
- Maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, IQA processes and curriculum documentation
- Ensure workshops, equipment and resources meet delivery and health & safety requirements
- Proven experience leading and managing teaching teams
- Strong track record of achieving learner outcomes and performance targets
- Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle or relevant industry area
- Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualification
- Minimum Level 2 English and Maths
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of apprenticeship delivery and EPA processes
- Commitment to safeguarding, health & safety and continuous improvement
- Post‑14 teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within 18 months)
- Experience in curriculum development and managing change
