Inspire. Support. Empower. A well-regarded specialist day and residential school in Wimbledon is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 2–19 with Vision Impairment, Hearing Impairment, and Multi-Sensory Impairments. This is a full-time position starting in September 2025.
Responsibilities- Provide in-class support and one-to-one assistance as required
- Help deliver personalised learning plans and communication strategies
- Collaborate with teachers and therapy staff to meet students academic and developmental goals
- Foster independence, social interaction, and self-confidence
- Contribute to a calm, safe, and nurturing learning environment
- A genuine interest in supporting young people with special educational needs
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Willingness to learn and apply sensory-led and specialist teaching techniques
- Prior SEN experience is a plus, but not essential
- Be part of a welcoming, supportive, and collaborative staff team
