About the RoleVocational Recruitment is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets, to appoint a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September 2026.
This long-term opportunity involves providing dedicated one-to-one support for a Key Stage 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), who presents with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will help the pupil access learning, manage emotions, develop positive relationships, and achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The school seeks a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be a positive role model who can build strong relationships, maintain consistent boundaries, and support the pupil with patience and understanding.

- Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD (essential)
- Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and emotional needs
- Good understanding of EHCPs and SEND supportn
- Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Ability to act as a positive role model for young people
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
