Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant Full-Time
Location: Northwood, Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, 1 Term
Hours: 8:00am 5:15pm
Start Date: September 2026
Daily Rate: £85.50-£120

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Northwood from September 2026. This is a full-time role for one academic term, providing an exciting opportunity to support pupils learning and development during a key stage of their education.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support classroom learning, assist pupils with their academic progress, and contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils academic, social, and emotional development in KS1.
  • Assist with delivering lessons, classroom activities, and learning resources.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support where required.
  • Help monitor and record pupil progress.
  • Maintain a positive, well-organised, and safe classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to school events and wider school life.
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Positive, proactive, and reflective approach to supporting learning.
