ASD Specialist Teaching Assistant

Large SEN school based in Newham is looking for an ASD Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a wide range of special educational needs. The role starts ASAP and is full-time.

Job Description

Support students with SEN on a day‑to‑day basis (ASD, SLD, SP&L and more)
Liaise with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding the progress of children
Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children
Deliver specialist interventions and liaise with the school's therapists
Full‑time, long‑term position
Salary: £90 – £110 per day

Person Specification

Experience supporting children aged 16+ with SEN – autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L (ideal)
Childcare related experience, ideally with a SEN focus (ideal)
Resilient, patient, calm‑natured, empathetic and adaptable
A hardworking and driven individual who will exceed all expectations of the role requirements
