1:1 Female ASD Teaching Assistant

Remedy Education are looking for a strong and experienced 1:1 Female ASD Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with complex needs at a school based in Lewisham.

This is a part‑time role working 3.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP. The school is looking for someone with strong ASD and SEN experience who is confident providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with complex needs.

The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, reliable and able to support the pupil with communication, emotional regulation, routines and engagement throughout the school day.

Role Details
  • Position: 1:1 Female ASD Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Lewisham
  • Year Group: KS1
  • Hours: 3.5 hours per day, midday shift
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Pay: £100–117 per day
  • Start Date: ASAP
The Role
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with ASD and complex needs
  • Support the child with communication, learning, routines and transitions
  • Help manage emotional regulation and behaviour in a calm and consistent way
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team
  • Use SEN experience to adapt support to the child's individual needs
  • Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Support the pupil's confidence, independence and engagement
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Strong ASD and SEN experience
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs
  • Previous 1:1 support experience, ideally within a primary or SEN setting
  • A patient, calm and nurturing approach
  • Confidence supporting pupils with communication and emotional regulation
  • Reliability and commitment to a Monday to Friday role
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ASD Teaching Assistant who is looking for a part‑time role supporting a KS1 pupil with complex needs on a 1:1 basis.
