Teaching Assistant

Seeking a full time and permanent Teaching Assistant to work with children at our primary school.

• BA University Degree in Early Years Education or Education from the UK or overseas, or
• Passion for working with children and a desire to gain classroom-based experience.

Starting salary: £22,000 - £23,000 per annum plus excellent further training and career progression opportunities. 12 weeks paid holiday, including 6 weeks summer holiday, half term holidays and Easter and Christmas paid holidays.

• Assist the teacher in planning and implementing creative learning activities aligned with the primary school national curriculum.
• Support the delivery of learning for each pupil to enable them to reach their potential, working with individual pupils or small groups or within a whole class setting to support high standards of teaching and pupil progress.
• Respond to the specific learning needs of the pupil(s).
• Be proactive in managing pupil behaviour and supervise pupils at lunch and break times as required.
• Carry out observations of children and ensure safety and well‑being at all times.
