The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is seeking a professionally accredited registered psychotherapist and/or counsellor to deliver Level 4 Adult Counselling courses part‑time on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. The role may also involve teaching across other Counselling programmes, including Levels 2, 3, and 5 on Wednesdays.
Responsibilities- Teach Level 4 Adult part‑time counselling courses on Tuesday and/or Thursday.
- Teach Levels 2, 3, and 5 on Wednesday (if required).
- Mark and provide tutorial support for counselling courses.
- Contribute to the school’s activities, including occasional out‑of‑hours events such as selection days, interviews and open events.
- Qualified practitioner with a professional qualification to practice in counselling or psychotherapy (minimum L6 Diploma or Honours Degree).
- Practicing member or accredited of BACP, UKCP or equivalent (or willing to gain accreditation).
- Three years of post‑qualification experience.
- Teaching qualification (or willing to work towards one) with experience teaching counselling to Level 3 or above.
- Supervision qualification or experience of providing clinical supervision to groups or individuals in a counselling setting.
- Ability to assess students, convey knowledge, support skill development and maintain professional boundaries with empathy.
- Familiarity with national educational standards and BACP awarding/validating body requirements.
- Annual leave of 40 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year and 5 days wellbeing leave.
