SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded junior school in North West London in the recruitment of a unique and rewarding Pastoral Lead, Intervention & PPA Teacher position for September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced primary teacher who is passionate about supporting the whole child and wants to make a meaningful impact beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Combining teaching, pastoral leadership and intervention work, this role would suit someone who thrives on building relationships, removing barriers to learning and helping pupils achieve both academically and personally.
The RoleThis is a varied position that sits at the heart of the school community.
You will work closely with pupils, staff and families to support children's wellbeing whilst also delivering high-quality teaching across the school.
Pastoral Leadership- Supporting pupils experiencing social, emotional or behavioural challenges
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Working closely with senior leaders and external agencies where required
- Supporting attendance, wellbeing and engagement initiatives
- Acting as a trusted adult for vulnerable pupils
- Delivering targeted interventions in English and Mathematics
- Supporting pupils who require additional academic support
- Monitoring progress and helping close attainment gaps
- Working with teachers to identify pupils requiring intervention
- Delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 2
- Covering teacher PPA time
- Maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning
- Supporting pupils across a range of year groups

The Ideal Candidate- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has successful primary teaching experience
- Is passionate about pupil wellbeing and inclusion
- Has strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Can deliver effective interventions to accelerate progress
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and families
- Is resilient, compassionate and proactive
- Believes every child can succeed with the right support
- Experience in pastoral, inclusion, SEND or safeguarding-related roles would be advantageous but is not essential.
