Learning Support Assistant – St John Bosco College
Actual Salary: £26,023 (pro rata to fte £31,086). Scale 3 - Point 5. 34 hours per week (negotiable). Term time only (39 weeks per annum). Monday to Friday.

Role purposeTo support students with special educational needs (SEN) across the school, including 1:1 and small-group work in mainstream classrooms, developing independent learning, social and emotional regulation skills, and contributing to an inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities- Support students with SEN across the school in the mainstream classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Develop students' literacy and communication skills.
- Foster independent learning, social and emotional regulation skills.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plan (IEP) strategies and adapt activities as needed.
- Good interpersonal skills and experience supporting young people with Autism.
- Previous experience of supporting secondary-aged students with SEN needs is desirable but not essential.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills; reliable, committed; strong communication skills; calm, patient and empathetic nature.
