Background:
The Student Engagement Team provides an all-encompassing service for all aspects of student engagement. This includes monitoring the engagement levels of all students, proactively contacting students where data indicates they may need support, collaborating with other professional service teams and academic staff to reduce duplication and increase focus on the reduction of student attrition. We focus on early intervention for students at risk of academic failure and ensure we provide a timely response to student engagement concerns through a front-line student engagement triage service.

You may be responsible for ensuring all Students are allocated a Personal Tutor. You will report into a Senior Student Engagement Adviser who will be analysing engagement behaviour of students and identifying students for you to contact those where data indicates they may need the support of Professional Services colleagues. Student Engagement Advisers will work as part of a single Student Engagement team to monitor student engagement rates, contact students with low student support scores and triage students to receive the appropriate support they require to succeed in their studies.

Student Engagement Advisers will work with a range of staff, including but not exclusive to:
Personal Tutors, Senior Student Engagement Advisers, Academics, Professional Services staff. Student Engagement Advisers will be responsible for inputting and maintaining accurate records on our engagement systems, assisting with Personal Tutor allocations, communicating with students via email and/or phone and making appropriate referrals.
