- Subject-specific CPD tailored to Maths classroom support, intervention delivery, and GCSE preparation
- A well-resourced Mathematics department with strong outcomes, shared planning, and experienced practitioners on hand
- A structured induction with dedicated mentoring from qualified Maths teachers from day one
- Access to Maths Hub networks and departmental resources that support every Maths Teaching Assistant in delivering effective intervention
- Strong encouragement towards teacher training pathways or extended contracts for high-performing staff
- Supporting Maths teachers across KS3 and KS4 to deliver structured, engaging lessons
- Working with small groups of pupils to reinforce core mathematical concepts and close gaps in understanding
- Providing additional support to pupils with SEN or additional learning needs within the Maths classroom
- Tracking pupil progress and feeding back regularly to the class teacher and Head of Mathematics
- Building consistent, motivating relationships with pupils to develop their confidence and resilience in Maths
- The ideal Maths Teaching Assistant will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university, ideally in Mathematics, a STEM subject, or a closely related numerate discipline
- Previous child-centred experience in a UK educational setting is highly valued
- The school is seeking a proactive, patient, and mathematically confident Maths Teaching Assistant with strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for helping young people succeed in Maths
- Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship cannot be provided for this position
- £480 per week, pro rata to term time only
- Full-time, long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
- Term-time only
- Potential for extended contracts or teacher training pathways following a successful placement
