Location: City of Westminster
Overview
As a Further Education Lecturer, you will deliver engaging, high‑quality teaching across your specialist subject area.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across your specialist subject area
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality lessons that meet curriculum requirements
- Support learners to achieve academic, personal, and career goals
- Monitor learner progress, assess work, and provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Differentiates teaching to support learners with varying abilities and additional learning needs
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent), or relevant teaching experience where appropriate
- A relevant degree, professional qualification, or substantial industry experience within your specialist subject
- Experience teaching within Further Education, Higher Education, schools, or delivering vocational training
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A flexible, professional, and learner‑focused approach
- Previous experience within the Further Education sector
- Experience delivering GCSE, Functional Skills, vocational qualifications, or Higher Education programmes
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Location:
South London and Docklands – Southwark College, Lewisham College and NCG Higher Education Centre, Harbour Exchange.
Type:
Flexible contract (bank, temporary, or permanent).
Pay: £191–£246 per day, temporary, bank, casual or permanent opportunities. Weekly payroll. Please contact the recruitment partner for details.
