Teacher of Science (Maternity Cover)

Ashfield School seeks a full‑time Teacher of Science to cover a period of maternity leave, starting September
2026.

• Deliver engaging science lessons to students.
• Inspire students with a love of science and support a collaborative teaching culture.
• Maintain and develop the science curriculum and assessment practices.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and students.
• Support the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies.

• A teaching qualification (e.g. Qualified Teacher Status).
• Specialism in biology preferred, but all science specialisms considered.
• Current enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.
• Experience working in a school environment is desirable.
