We're working with a number of mainstream schools, specialist provisions and SEND settings looking for dedicated SEN Support Assistants to join their teams. Whether you're seeking flexible daily supply work or a long‑term role where you can build strong relationships with pupils, we have opportunities to suit you.
About the RoleAs an SEN Support Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.
You may be supporting:- Pupils with Autism (ASC)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- ADHD
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
- Moderate and complex learning difficulties
- Pupils requiring additional support with confidence, engagement and independence
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting learning activities alongside the class teacher
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Helping pupils develop social and communication skills
- Assisting with classroom organisation and daily routines
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Experience working with children or young people
- Experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, mentoring or support work
- A patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication skills
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed
- An interest in SEND and inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
