Harris Invictus Academy is seeking a Safeguarding Support Officer to play a vital role in our safeguarding team. MainAreas of Responsibility
- Maintaining accurate, highly confidential, and secure child protection files and chronologies
- Administration of individual case reviews, maintaining safety plans, and managing school trip lists to flag pastoral concerns
- Acting as a key administrative point of contact for external agencies such as social services, the police and local authorities
- Supporting the HR department by ensuring staff read and sign safeguarding policies, and assisting with the management of the Single Central Record (SCR)
- Scheduling, attending and taking minutes for complex multi‑agency meetings, child protection conferences and governor briefings
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft 365 and specialised safeguarding or school information systems such as CPOMS
- Absolute discretion, diplomacy and the ability to handle highly sensitive personal information securely
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for liaising with parents, children and external professionals
- A secure understanding of statutory safeguarding legislation, including Keeping Children Safe in Education in the UK
