Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location:
Paddington, London
Contract:
Full‑time, Term Time Only
Salary: 120‑130 p/d
Start Date:
To be agreed
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups and whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to assess pupil progress and contribute to planning next steps.
- Provide targeted interventions to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs where required.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, school events and ongoing professional development.
- Holds HLTA status or has equivalent experience and qualifications.
- Has experience working within a primary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
- Is confident leading whole‑class learning when required.
- Has a sound understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Is adaptable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Has a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for education.
- Supportive and welcoming school community.
