Employment Advisor - Education Lead

Overview

Unity Works is seeking an Employment Advisor – Education Lead to join our team based in Southwark, London. This part‑time fixed‑term role runs until 30th June 2027 and comes with a competitive salary of £19,119.65 per annum.

The position is focused on linking education and employment, supporting young people with SEND to explore, set goals, and access opportunities for their future through workshops, partnership working and tailored guidance.

• Act as a liaison between education provisions and employment opportunities, supporting young people with SEND.
• Deliver engaging workshops, careers guidance and information sessions to diverse audiences.
• Develop authentic relationships with education provisions, families and SEND professionals to facilitate smooth transitions from education to adulthood.
• Identify local skills, training and employment pathways and inspire young people to explore future opportunities.
• Partner with inclusive employers to create supported employment, job coaching and internship pathways.

• Evidence of experience in education, workforce development or related field focusing on SEND.
• Strong commitment to inclusion, equal access to employment and breaking down barriers.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
• Understanding of local skills, training and employment pathways.
