About the Role
  • Teaching Computing and Computer Science across KS3-KS5
  • Delivering engaging and innovative lessons that promote a love of technology
  • Supporting students in developing programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy skills
  • Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
  • Planning, marking, and assessing in line with school policies
  • Using assessment data to monitor progress and raise attainment
  • Contributing to curriculum development within the Computing department
  • Supporting enrichment activities, coding clubs, and STEM initiatives where appropriate
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
  • Part-time role – Monday to Thursday
Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Degree in Computing, Computer Science, ICT, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Computing within a UK secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Computing curriculum
  • Ability to teach GCSE Computing confidently (A-Level experience desirable)
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
