this role

For KS1 through KS2 this school is seeking a full‑time teaching assistant who has experience working with students who need extra support within the classroom. Your role will be to work with the class teacher to ensure the student is receiving the support needed within the class, promote the student’s independence, encourage social inclusion, organise and facilitate a stimulating and motivating learning environment, and co‑plan assignments to guarantee best practices and uniformity in all classrooms.

Qualifications & experience
  • Experience working with students who need extra support.
  • Confidence in teaching the material and planning lessons.
  • Familiarity with the current curriculum and understanding of the support required before class to help students meet their term goals.
  • Ability to implement behavioural and emotional management, demonstrating an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning.
  • Capacity to find resources and foster a sense of achievement across various year groups.

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, but there may be an option to make the role permanent in the future.
