Pertemps Education are working in partnership with a fantastic SEMH Secondary School in West Drayton to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a September start. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and well‑resourced specialist setting, where you will have the chance to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role
  • Teach Food Technology to secondary‑aged students.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical and differentiated lessons.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to develop confidence, independence and valuable life skills.
  • Work closely with support staff and the wider school team to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour while building positive relationships with students.
Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
  • Confident managing behaviour and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
  • Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
  • Previous experience within an SEMH, SEND or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential.
