• Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour and learning.
• Deliver engaging and effective Modern Foreign Languages lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different classes and learning abilities.
• Support pupils’ engagement, progress, and positive conduct.
• Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and reporting procedures.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff across school settings.
• Undertake full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, and marking.
• Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in one or more modern foreign languages, such as French, Spanish, or German.

• Hold QTS or an equivalent UK‑recognised teaching qualification (essential).
• Be a confident ECT or an experienced teacher within the secondary phase.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum for KS3–KS4.
• Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour.
• Show an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and school leaders.
