Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?

We are working with a well-established specialist SEN school in Stratford, East London, seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team from September.

This position will initially be offered on a long-term temporary basis through our agency, with the opportunity to transfer onto a permanent contract with the school following a successful placement.

This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a therapeutic education setting, supporting pupils across Key Stages 2–4 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role
  • Teach Food Technology across KS2–KS4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and essential life skills.
  • Create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, teaching assistants and the wider school team to deliver a holistic approach to education.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Food Technology at primary and/or secondary level.
  • Has experience working with, or a genuine interest in supporting, pupils with SEND, particularly those with ASC and SEMH needs.
  • Is patient, adaptable and passionate about inclusive education.
  • Is available to start in September.
