Seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor to support pupils aged 11-16 within a specialist SEMH setting. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils regulate their emotions, improve behaviour and re-engage with learning. The role involves implementing behaviour support plans, using de-escalation techniques, promoting emotional wellbeing and acting as a positive role model to encourage confidence, resilience and independence.

This specialist SEMH provision is located in the London Borough of Southwark and is within walking distance of a nearby London Underground station. The school supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs through personalised learning, therapeutic interventions and strong pastoral care. Staff work collaboratively to create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where pupils can achieve positive academic and personal outcomes.
