Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional
Clear Links Support is a specialist provider of academic support to students in further and higher education. We are recruiting support workers to deliver note taking support, exam support, practical support assistance and general study assistance to university students.
Note taking - to produce an accurate record of the content of academic classes which is then handed over to the student. Applicants must have access to a personal device that can be used for typed notes
Exam Support - to act as a Reader, Scribe or Prompter, or a combination of these roles in an exam setting:
Reader: read aloud relevant exam material to the student during an examination Scribe: scribe, writing word for word, the student’s answers to exam questions Prompter: prompt the student to remain focused on the exam paper
Practical Support Assistance - to assist with practical and mobility support tasks in educational situations and locations.
Study Assistant - to provide a range of enabling strategies complemented by some practical assistance.
The work is flexible, to suit applicants availability. A range of hours are available, but are subject to support requirements and assigned hours cannot be guaranteed.
We expect work to be available from September 2026.
Requirements for the role:
Applicants must be able to work in person at the following campuses:
University of Edinburgh University of Sunderland University of Westminster Central campuses (Central London, Marylebone, Cavendish) University of Westminster Harrow campus
These skills will be assessed before your application is progressed.

By the start of employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. This post is also subject to satisfactory references, a background check under the PVG Scheme for work in Scotland, as well as other applicable pre-employment checks.
