Salary: £20 - £30 an hour, depending on experience

Teacher Active are recruiting for strong SEND Tutors in the City of London area. In this role, you will be working on a one-to-one basis, or in small groups with pupils that have SEMH and ASD needs. This may be in education settings or other venues such as libraries or at the home of the pupil.

• Deliver 1:1 or small group tutoring sessions in a variety of settings.
• Work independently in the home or other venues.
• Connect with children and families effectively and build trusting relationships.
• Differentiated curriculum delivery, using creative and bespoke approaches.
• Address the needs of students with SEMH/SEN, learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Adapt to various working environments and differing abilities.
• Maintain a practical approach to the needs of students with learning difficulties and disabilities.

• Experience as a tutor, preferably with HLTA, LSA, or teaching qualifications.
• Excellent KS3/KS4 curriculum knowledge.
• Undergraduate degree and/or prior experience working with pupils with SEND.
• Strong general education levels in English and Maths.
• Knowledge and understanding of a range of learning difficulties and disabilities (SEMH, ASC, challenging behaviour).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and a caring attitude.
• Flexibility in terms of working patterns.
