English Teacher - Secondary SEMH School

Remedy Education are looking for a confident and resilient English Teacher to join a supportive secondary SEMH school based in Leyton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The school are looking for someone who can deliver engaging English lessons, build positive relationships and help students re-engage with learning in a structured and supportive environment.

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to secondary-aged students
• Support pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour and additional learning needs
• Adapt lessons to suit different abilities and confidence levels
• Help students build skills in reading, writing, comprehension and analysis
  
  Use strong behaviour management and clear classroom routines
• Encourage engagement, confidence and positive progress
• Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider school team

• Qualified Teacher Status or strong relevant teaching experience
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• SEMH, PRU or Alternative Provision experience is highly desirable
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A calm, resilient and consistent approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with hard-to-reach learners
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
