The Role – Behaviour Mentor – SouthwarkWe are looking for a confident and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join an SEMH school in Southwark from September 2026 on a long-term basis.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who may experience behavioural and emotional difficulties linked to SEMH, ADHD, ASD, social and emotional needs and challenging behaviour.
- Providing 1:1 intervention and mentoring support
- Supporting students within the classroom and across the school
- Helping students manage and regulate their behaviour and emotions
- Supporting students to engage positively with their learning
- Monitoring behaviour and helping students remain focused and in lessons
- Supporting students during break and lunchtime
- Patrolling the school during lesson times to encourage attendance and engagement
- Building positive and trusting relationships with students
- Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the wider behaviour team
Physical Intervention/Restraint Training is highly desirable, although relevant experience in behaviour management and pastoral support will also be considered.
