To contribute towards the delivery of BCE's high quality, impartial information, advice, and guidance service, supporting prospective and existing learners in their post-16 education choices. To lead on planning and delivery of creative workshops for school groups year 9, 10 & 11 interested in exploring creative careers pathways and courses at Big Creative Education.,
- Organise the delivery of events both inside and outside the college, including travel arrangements, resources, and support materials. Ensure communication plans are clear and all deadlines are met.
- Develop and deliver successful workshops and events that meet schools' careers requirements while increasing student recruitment for BCE courses.
- Attend careers fairs and deliver school assemblies to promote BCE courses to young people and their parents.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the success of school engagement activities to the line manager.
- Build effective working relationships with internal curriculum and support staff, as well as school careers advisers, to achieve workshop delivery targets.
- Support the delivery of BCE Open Evenings, workshops, and enrolment activities.
- Provide specialist information, advice, and guidance to young people and their parents regarding post-16 options.
- Work flexibly and undertake any other duties reasonably allocated by the line manager, including occasional evening work.
- Support the delivery of building tours and visits for careers advisers to broaden their knowledge and understanding of BCE.
Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level
2), Previous experience in an administrative role, admissions, or similar role - Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well-developed organizational skills and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage workload.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to convert initial enquiries into successful enrolments.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of the creative industries and creative pathways.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Desirable skills
- Worked in a college environment or with young people before.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travelling to work related events.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, admissions, or similar role
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to empathize and develop rapport with individuals interested in applying to BCE.
