SEMH Teaching Assistant
- South East London
- September Start - 100- 117 per day
Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a school in South East London from September
.
The school supports pupils who may present with social, emotional and mental health needs, challenging behaviour, anxiety, low confidence or barriers to learning. This role would suit a candidate who is patient, firm but fair, and passionate about helping young people make progress.
The Role:- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour choices
- Helping pupils access lessons and stay focused throughout the day
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Supporting positive behaviour plans and personalised strategies
- Working with teachers and pastoral teams to support pupil wellbeing
- Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence
- Have experience supporting young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour
- Be confident setting boundaries and maintaining routines
- Have a calm, consistent and supportive approach
- Be able to manage difficult situations professionally
- Have experience in schools, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or care
- Be available full-time from September
- 100- 117 per day
- September start
- South East London school location
