Teacher Active is currently seeking reliable and professional Exam Invigilators to support a large, well-established secondary school and sixth form in South East London, close to Elephant & Castle.

The school has a diverse student community and places a strong emphasis on academic achievement, high expectations and creating a supportive environment where students are encouraged to succeed.

The successful Exam Invigilator will support the school during mock and formal examination periods, helping to ensure exams run smoothly and in accordance with examination regulations.

As an Exam Invigilator, you will supervise students throughout examinations, distribute and collect examination materials, provide clear instructions and ensure appropriate examination conditions are maintained at all times.

The successful Exam Invigilator will have:
  • A reliable and professional approach
  • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence working with secondary-aged students
  • The ability to follow examination procedures carefully
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • Previous school or exam invigilation experience is essential
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students throughout examinations
  • Prepare examination rooms
  • Distribute and collect examination papers
  • Clearly communicate examination instructions
  • Maintain appropriate examination conditions
  • Monitor students throughout each examination
  • Ensure examination regulations are followed
  • Report any irregularities to the Exams Officer
  • Work alongside other invigilators and school staff
  • Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
