AI and Automation Expert Skills Coach

Delivery Team | £45,000-£50,000 + excellent benefits | Full-time, Hybrid (South London)

Do you get excited by helping people embrace AI and automation to transform the way they work? Are you passionate about developing others and enabling them to deliver real business impact through technology? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

LDN Apprenticeships is Highly Rated by Ofsted, a B Corp-certified organisation and a Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 winner. We're focused on transforming how people grow through our apprenticeships.

Our Delivery Team is central to that work, supporting learners to complete their apprenticeships and achieve their career potential. As our very first Skills Coach on our new AI and Automation Expert Level 4 programme, you'll be the person our apprentices turn to: their coach, their guide, and often the reason they succeed.

The Role

You'll join our Delivery Team as a Skills Coach, supporting a caseload of apprentices to acquire and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to meet the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation Practitioner Level 4 Standard. Mostly remote with at least one day a month at our South London office, the role is built around coaching, mentoring and genuine relationship-building.

This is a varied and rewarding role. Some days you'll be deep in one-to-one coaching conversations, reviewing work or writing progress review reports for employers. Others you'll be running group training sessions or in-person development days. The common thread is that you genuinely care how your apprentices are getting on and you take their development personally.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Coaching and mentoring a caseload of apprentices through the AI and Automation Expert Level 4 programme, making sure each one gets an excellent experience.
  • Running regular progress reviews, writing clear, accurate session reports, and keeping employers properly informed about how their apprentices are developing.
  • Working with employers and apprentices to apply learning in relevant work-based activities which have a meaningful and measurable impact on the organisation.
  • Designing and facilitating engaging group training sessions, including live online sessions and in-person development days.
  • Keeping apprentices on track and taking proactive steps when someone needs more support to hit their milestones on time.
  • Contributing to the design and development of training activities and the delivery of the programme.
  • Working with other Skills Coaches to share best practice, standardise approaches and keep raising the bar.
  • Coordinating training activities delivered in partnership with employers and industry experts.
  • Assessing apprentices' work and giving feedback that is timely, constructive, and useful to them.
  • Maintaining strong, consistent communication with apprentices and employers throughout the programme.
  • Following quality procedures and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Providing pastoral support for apprentices when they need it, because the human side of this role matters.
Who We're Looking For
  • Extensive experience of implementing AI, automation and digital transformation initiatives within a business environment.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of AI tools, automation platforms and workplace productivity .
  • Knowledge of business needs and strategic objectives related to digital solutions.
  • Experience in teaching, training, or coaching, with a strong interest in learner development.
  • Previous experience as a Skills Coach and knowledge of apprenticeships would be advantageous.
  • The ability to communicate ideas clearly, whether you're coaching a struggling apprentice one-to-one or facilitating a group session with…
