About the Opportunity

SANZA Teaching Agency are delighted to be supporting one of Brent's leading primary schools in their search for a fun, creative and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join their team immediately!

About the Role

As a Primary School Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting children throughout their lunch break, both in the dining hall and on the playground.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising primary-aged pupils during lunchtime, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and enjoyment.
  • Planning, organising and leading fun, creative and inclusive playground games and activities.
  • Encouraging children to participate in positive play, teamwork and social interaction.
About the School

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, highly regarded primary school in Brent, recognised for its strong leadership, high expectations and commitment to providing an excellent education for its pupils.

The school prides itself on maintaining a positive, structured and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to achieve their best, both academically and socially.

You can expect:
  • A large, well-established primary school with a strong reputation in the local community.
  • A dedicated leadership team with exceptionally high expectations.
  • Clear behaviour policies, routines and expectations across the school.
  • A strong emphasis on creativity, positive relationships and pupil wellbeing.
  • A collaborative team of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff.
  • A school that values enthusiastic, hardworking and committed individuals who make a genuine difference to children's school experience.

The school is particularly selective about the staff they appoint and wants someone who will become a positive and valued member of the lunchtime team.

They are looking for someone who is fun and engaging but equally confident in maintaining boundaries and managing behaviour effectively.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and creative individual who has previous experience working with children and genuinely enjoys helping them learn, play and develop.

Essential requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school, nursery, childcare, playwork or similar setting.
  • A confident, friendly and enthusiastic personality.
  • A creative approach to engaging children through games, activities and positive play.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain clear, consistent boundaries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved rather than simply observe.
  • A genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing and development.
  • Excellent punctuality, reliability and professionalism.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience as:
  • Lunchtime Supervisors / Midday Meals Supervisors
  • Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants
  • Nursery Assistants / Early Years Practitioners
  • Play workers / Children's Activity Leaders
  • Sports Coaches / After-School Club Assistants
  • Other experienced childcare professionals

You do not necessarily need to have worked as a Lunchtime Supervisor before, but previous experience working with children is essential.

Above all, the school wants someone with a fantastic attitude who can bring energy, creativity and enthusiasm to every lunchtime!
