Midday Supervisor

Midday Supervisor post at Alexandra Junior School, part of the lunchtime supervision team at this junior school. The job centres on keeping pupils safe and busy across the dining hall and playground, enforcing school rules on games, settling minor disputes and giving first aid where needed. Basic first aid training forms part of the role. An enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK are required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

• Supervise pupils in the dining hall and playgrounds to keep lunchtimes safe and enjoyable
• Oversee pupil conduct inside and outside the school building
• Promote and enforce school rules on games, health and safety
• Assist pupils in dining and play areas
• Provide a variety of games and activities, demonstrating new ones
• Handle minor incidents and disputes, referring serious ones to the Senior Lunchtime Coordinator, SLT or nominated supervisor
• Administer first aid as required and complete relevant training such as basic first aid
• Clean up spillages and debris in dining and play areas
• Follow child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality policies and report concerns
• Support diversity and equal opportunities for all
• Contribute to the school's ethos and aims and support other professionals
