Earn £110 to £130 per day as a Behaviour Mentor (around £16 to £19 an hour), working school hours with weekends and school holidays free. If you're calm under pressure and can connect with young people others find hard to reach, this alternative provision needs you.

Principal Education is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor on behalf of an alternative provision school in St John's Wood, starting from Monday 2 November.

Your duties as a Behaviour Mentor will include:
  • Supporting young people 1:1 and in small groups
  • Using calm de escalation to keep everyone safe
  • Following behaviour plans and EHCP targets with the team
  • Helping young people reintegrate into learning and, where possible, mainstream school
To be considered for this Behaviour Mentor role, you'll need:
  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour
  • A calm approach, with firm boundaries and real warmth
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
  • Team Teach, PRICE or similar positive handling training is a bonus.

  • £110 to £130 per day (around £16 to £19 an hour), depending on experience.
  • School hours, with weekends and school holidays free.
  • A long term role with a route into a permanent position.
  • A dedicated SEN consultant who supports you from your first day.
  • Over 700 five star Google reviews from candidates and schools.
