We are seeking a Senior Energy Trading & Risk Manager to join the management team of a forward-thinking organisation in the public sector. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape energy procurement and trading strategy at a national level

You will lead high-performing energy trading teams, provide expert guidance on public sector procurement strategies
, and manage credit and operational risk to ensure robust trading and procurement operations.

• Lead and develop high-performing energy trading teams across multiple public sector projects
• Define and implement energy procurement and trading strategies
• Provide expert guidance on UK energy markets and trends
• Manage credit risk, operational risk, and compliance across trading operations
• Collaborate with the management team to support strategic growth initiatives
• Drive process improvement and operational resilience within the energy trading function

• Proven experience leading energy trading teams at a senior level
• Strong knowledge of UK energy markets and public sector procurement
• Expertise in credit risk, operational risk, and compliance management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in a strategic, senior-level role within energy or public sector trading

• Competitive salary £65–£68k
